Travel Guide

Travel & Transportation

Our ceremony and reception will take place in two different locations: our home in South Park, Seattle for the garden ceremony, followed by dinner and dancing at Congregational Church on Mercer Island. Here's what to know for getting around and choosing where to stay.

Transportation

Getting to the Reception

Getting to the Reception

After the ceremony, we'll make our way from our home in South Park to CCMI on Mercer Island for cocktail hour, dinner, and dancing. The drive is typically about 15-25 minutes, depending on traffic.

Ceremony Our Home — South Park, Seattle
Reception Congregational Church on Mercer Island
Estimated Drive 15-25 minutes
Parking Available on site at CCMI
Best Options Drive, carpool, or rideshare

We'll build in time between the ceremony and cocktail hour so no one feels rushed. Carpooling and rideshare are encouraged, especially if you plan to enjoy the open bar.

Late-night note

Music at the reception will wrap by 10:00 PM due to venue rules. If we plan an optional after-party for anyone who wants to keep celebrating, we'll share those details closer to the wedding.

Guests are welcome to drive, carpool, or use rideshare between the two venues.

Lodging

Where to Stay

Our wedding weekend will take place between South Park, Seattle and Mercer Island, so there are a few good areas to consider depending on what kind of stay you want.

Best Overall: Downtown Seattle / Pioneer Square / International District

Recommended for most out-of-town guests. This area is a convenient middle ground for getting to both venues, exploring Seattle, and using rideshare throughout the weekend.

Suggested Hotel

Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Downtown Lake Union

Closest to the Reception: Bellevue / Eastside

A good option for guests who want an easier trip after the reception or prefer a quieter stay closer to Mercer Island. There are fewer hotel options directly on Mercer Island, so Bellevue may offer more choices.

Suggested Hotel

Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Bellevue

Airport + Budget Friendly: SeaTac / Seattle Southside

A practical option for guests prioritizing airport access or lower-cost lodging. It's less central for wedding weekend activities, but convenient for quick arrivals and departures.

Suggested Hotel

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel Seattle Airport - Southcenter

We'll share any hotel block or recommended hotel details here once available.
